Rev. Karen Nelson

Rev. Karen Nelson (she/her/hers) is a retired clergy person in the Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference. Before retirement, she served several small churches in Oregon, including being part of the formation team of a two-city cooperative of six United Methodist churches. Karen entered ordained ministry after teaching elementary school for 21 years. She is an active leader, participant, and advocate of camp and retreat ministries. Karen has been involved with Oregon-Idaho MFSA for many years, serving on the leadership team as secretary, program council representative, president, and involved in the planning team of many annual events. Karen also serves on the leadership team of the Western Methodist Justice Movement, a Western Jurisdiction group that focuses on justice issues. Karen lives in Beaverton, Oregon with her husband Greg.
