Several sites offer information on Middle East Related issues from United Methodist sources. United Methodist Communications sources, Infoserv found at UMC.org has recently created a comprehensive website where Middle East resolutions, statements, official actions taken by the UMC are organized in one place. Astle has written an article on UM NeXus “Religious Leaders Urge Bold Action to Stop Middle East Violence” that includes United Methodist and other faith resources” which can be found at http://www.umnexus.org/commentary.php?Article=113 . Her commentary also draws from Jewish partners in peace like Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center concluded that "the three Abrahamic communities need each other" to help Israel gain security from Palestinian attacks and to stop the victimization of Palestinians by Israeli attacks. The one constituency that has both the values and the potential clout to insist the US government take a healing role in this conflict is the American religious community,but this requires reaching beyond its present official, conventional boundaries and structures as things stand now."
