A WORD FROM MFSA'S FIELD ORGANIZER

Dear friends,
What an exciting time to be a part of MFSA! At the board meeting in April we celebrated and welcomed the newest chapter, the Desert Southwest Chapter. There are now 38 chapters and we are organizing in several more Annual Conferences across the jurisdictions. MFSA chapters are a prophetic witness at many Annual Conferences. Chapters have proposed petitions, planned special services and taken bold initiatives to lift up the cries for justice and peace in the church and the world.
With the exception of the North Central Jurisdiction meting to be held in September 2002, we have had jurisdictional meetings in every jurisdiction bringing together MFSA chapters and leaders to share and strategize. I am aware now more than ever at the uniqueness of every jurisdiction, each annual conference and why a network like MFSA is essential to supporting one another in the struggle for justice.
The national MFSA membership focus of 2002 in 2002, increasing the vision and voice of MFSA, is off and running. Several chapters have exceeded their goal of doubling their membership and one chapter is taking the bold initiative to sign up at least one member in every congregation in the annual conference! Please let me know how you and/or the chapter you’re a member of is doing with 2002 in 2002. If you have organizing ideas or potential contacts, let’s work together to increase the prophetic vision of MFSA.
